Hanna was named after Debbie's great grandmother on her father's side.  Hannah Bell Hawke was born in 1888 and passed away on Christmas day of 1980.  She and her husband and infant son sailed from England to America in June of 1912.  They were supposed to sail on the ill-fated Titanic but at the last minute they could not book passage.  They eventually sailed to America on the Lucitania several months later.

"I chose this name because I have always admired my great grandmother for her courage, determination, and perseverance.  Nothing every got her down. She left her home at an early age, came to a strange country and still managed to be happy and bring joy to everyone around her... Our Hanna is traveling a long way from her home in China and coming to live in a strange country and we hope that this name will help give her the same characteristics as her great great grandmother."
